Moving house
We are moving, and part of that has involved taking furniture from France to England. So, four channel crossings, about 1800 miles and hotels. Fun all the way.

The unfortunate thing about this type of trip is the fact you don’t get to enjoy the scenery with so much to do. And I had to leave Jane at home. It’s just not the same travelling alone.

But I am back home now and the moving continues apace. Luckily we are moving within the village so will be staying near our friends.

Moving House, supposed to be the most stressful time of your life. Maybe its just because it’s a new beginning

Moving

Boxes appear around the house,
are excised like a cancer.
They wait in the garage
for later dissection .
The life of a house
slowly empties.

Soon we will be a strangers here
in its empty rooms,
as cold and lifeless
as we first saw it.
